Rev. Darian C. Bouie, M. Div. is Senior Pastor of Progressive Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Morehouse Alumni Association, STVU Alumni Association and the NAACP.
Rev. Darian C. Bouie, M. Div. is one of two children born to the late Terrance Bouie and Sabrina Bouie. Rev. Bouie, a golfer since the age of 5, showed great promise and aspired to be on the PGA Tour. However, God had other plans for his life. He attended public school during his formative years and transitioned to Monsignor Edward Pace, a National Blue Ribbon private high school.
Rev. Bouie was certain about where God was directing him for his post secondary education. He applied to only one school for undergraduate studies. God proved favorable on March 23, 2006 when Rev. Bouie was accepted as a student for the 2006 freshman class at Morehouse College where his major was Religion. Thankfully he was able to integrate his athletic ability into his collegiate career. He walked on and played 4 years for the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers golf team. The team went on to win 3 SIAC Championships and the National Minority Championship. Rev. Bouie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion.
After graduating from Morehouse, Rev. Bouie began his Masters of Divinity at George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. After spending two years in Texas, Rev. Bouie transferred to the School of Theology at Virginia Union University. On May 7, 2016 he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the School of Theology at Virginia Union University.
Rev. Bouie began his ministerial journey at New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Kenneth A. Duke. Since then he has served as Youth and College Pastor, Assistant Church Administrator, Executive Minister, Assistant to the Pastor and currently is serving Progressive Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Morehouse Alumni Association, STVU Alumni Association and the NAACP. Rev Bouie is also a Level 1 certified Coach for the First Tee, a program he attended as a child.
Rev. Bouie's family is now blended. His mother Sabrina Bouie-Floyd is married to Gregory Floyd and the family celebrates the addition of his two step-sisters and niece. Rev. Bouie is married to Tyfany Bouie, M.Ed, who is currently serving as the Associate Director of School Operations for KIPP Indy.
